Steps to Register for Red Deer BMX are here
all steps must be complete prior to track access.

We’re so excited your family will be joining our Red Deer BMX family! You will need to purchase your Red Deer BMX Club Membership AND your ABA License, pricing and information is below.

Red Deer BMX Club Memberships (annual)

  • First family member: $125
  • Second family member: $100
  • Third and additional family members: $75 each

Is this your first season riding as a member of Red Deer BMX? Amazing, we’re excited to have you. New Red Deer BMX Club Memberships can be purchased for $65. In order to recieve this special price, all you need to do is provide your Volunteer Bond Post-Dated Cheque and we will refund you the difference of your initial membership purchase price.

Existing club members: Wouldn’t BMX be more fun if more of your friends joined our club? We agree! For every club member who has three friends become Red Deer BMX Club Members you will receive a reward (stay tuned for more details).

Club coaching and all open track sessions are included in the membership fee.

In order to complete your Red Deer BMX membership…

  1. Print a copy of your Red Deer BMX Agreement
  2. Read pages 1-2
  3. Fill out page 3
  4. Bring page 3 along with one $250 cheque post dated September 1, 2026 and the email you received confirming your registration/license was processed.

*Transponders are required to race. They cost $100 if you don’t yet own one and can be purchased at the Moto Shed at Red Deer BMX’s track; otherwise, you can pay the renewal fee via the transponder website. Riders who choose not to purchase a transponder may still race but will not accumulate points toward their upgrade.

Required Alberta Bicycle Association (ABA) License

Every rider must also purchase an ABA license for insurance coverage.

  1. Community Membership (practice/coaching only – no racing): Under 17: $43/Over 17: $53
  2. UCI Race Membership (required for any racing, including mid-week district races): Under 17: $145/Over 17: $154

Bring 1 post dated cheque to your 1st track visit. ($250 volunteer bond)

Have proper equipment – BMX race bike, full faced helmet, tear resistant pants, jersey and moto gloves as a minimum.

While you get familiar with the sport and collect your gear, we do have bikes/helmets available at the track that you can borrow, subject to availability.

Race Nights

We’ll be racing in Red Deer on Thursdays this year! Please register prior to 6:15pm on the day of via this link

or 

at the Moto Shed between 5:45 and 6:15pm

*a minimum of 20 racers are needed in order to run qualified District Races. If we have less than this registered we may offer “fun” races and more open track instead.

Mondays

Are an additional cost per rider due at the time of event registration.
