2009 RED DEER BMX RACE SCHEDULE

Well, the Red Deer BMX season has started up a new year. It goes from middle of May to approx. end of September. We will be holding our weekly races every Tuesday and Thursday evenings, weather and daylight permitting.

Tuesday and Thursday Racing

  • Registration is from 6:00pm to 6:30pm

  • Racing starts 7:00pm (BMX Time)

We have our traditional Sunday night training.

  •  Classes and Times will announced at the beginning of the race season.

We request that the riders be there min. 15 minutes early from their start times.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

  •   Membership is $150.00- This allows you to race on the track Tuesday and Thursday nights. This gives you all club benefits such as stickies, Sunday night training, year end awards, which are Club Membership benefits. This also gives you your Alberta bicycle license, which is mandatory for our insurance regulations. It also allows you to race at other tracks and events such as the Provincials and beyond.

2009 WESTERN NATIONAL SERIES

The Western National Series is under the jurisdiction of the newly reformed CBA and is not a CCA level series. However, the Western National Series (referred to by the CCA as the "Inter-Provincial Series") does count towards CCA National ranking points. Other CCA sanctioned races are ranked as Bronze, Silver, Gold, National Championship, and International. The ranking points awarded increase with each level.   • New overall awards - #1 amateur female, #1 amateur male, #1 amateur male cruiser, #1 amateur female cruiser

  • Must race 1 out of province race to qualify for year end awards

  • Best 5 out of 9 races count plus finals

  • Must race finals to be eligible to earn number plates and awards

  • New team program - increased team awards and more exposure for teams

  • Finals are double-points

2009 ALBERTA CUP PROVINCIAL SERIES

  • To qualify for a year-end award, you must race 3 of the 6 Alberta Cup races plus the Alberta Cup Finals

  • You can earn your Provincial number plate in this series

  • The Alberta Championships is a one day, age class only race, and gives you the AB number plate.
